• Project Intelligence

  Documentation for a SuccessFactors implementation at a State Government Department was being written in parrallel with the iterative project cycles of workshops, design, build phases. The project size meant that thousands of pages over hundreds of documents needed to be reviewed and maintained each cycle.

  A large human effort was required to ensure all levels of documentation were representative of the agreed process, functional and technical design, and covered all business requirements. The scale of the project meant that human error was inevitably introduced, outstanding issues were tracked manually and many fell out of focus.

  The native reporting functionality of the documentation manager was not able to deal with the volume of open items, nor did it provide a way to separate them into areas of responsibility.

  Notis developed a tool that extracted all of the data in minutes, transformed it, and loaded it to a dashboard that showed at a glance where the effort was needed and by whom, with the ability to drill and slice the data for additional focused context.

  This freed up resources spending hours a day collating data for a project status report and allowed leadership or team members at any level to request updated data at a moments notice. The tool was subsequently approved for development into a full, configurable, application that anyone with access to the docuementation manager could run.

• Automation

  A multinational company was eligible to make receive $25 million from an external body – pending the submission of thousands of individual applications.

  Each application could take days to submit manually, and there was a high rejection rate due to error.

  Notis reviewed the disparate processes and law, engaged with all stakeholders, including the body, and designed a solution.

  The agreed standard and system automated calculations, filed supporting evidence, and encouraged collaboration.

  All prior outstanding applications were submitted and approved, with time impact reduced to just three minutes.

  This saved the company an estimated $180,000 up-front, plus an ongoing $120,000 p.a. and significantly improved the working relationship with the body.

• Data Mapping

  A major Enterprise Resource Platform (ERP) project was at risk due to a manual data mapping exercise. It was predicted to take two weeks and twelve full-time resources to complete.

  During this time, the ERP would be partially locked down, significantly affecting all areas of the business.

  Notis led a small team to design and build a data model that dynamically and automatically mapped thousands of points of data.

  We coordinated global business efforts to validate and refine the model.

  Project cutover was de-risked and shortened by weeks, and the number of people involved was more than halved.

• Company Demerger

  A large multinational with nearly 100,000 employees was undergoing a demerger. A high risk element was the separation of the organisation structure in SAP.

  The organisation structure was the backbone of their SAP build and it was tied to all modules. This was made complex by thousands of people moving to the new company through offer and accept.

  Notis developed a simple, low impact solution which derisked the process and allowed business as usual activities to continue during separation.
